Light-rail T riders heading into Downtown Pittsburgh Monday morning might need to add some time to their commute.
Inbound T service will skip over the Steel Plaza station and end at Penn Station while crews work on repairing overhead electrical lines. Riders going past Penn Station should tack on at least 20 minutes to their commute, according to Pittsburgh Regional Transit.
From Penn Station, riders who want to go further into Downtown can take a shuttle bus that will travel along Liberty Avenue and stop at both Gateway and Wood Street stations — which will both be closed to rail service.
From Gateway, people can take the T to and from the North Shore with regular stops at North Side and Allegheny Station. A shuttle bus will run from Gateway back to Penn Station. And at Penn station riders going to the South Hills can hop aboard an outbound train.
T service will be back to its regular schedule for the Tuesday-morning commute.
