READING, Pa. – The death of a man found inside a burning car in Cumru Township was accidental, the Berks County coroner says.
On March 29, the body of 44-year-old Elvin Francisco De La Cruz Martinez of Reading was discovered after firefighters extinguished a car fire on South Ninth Street, near the city line.
An investigation, which included an autopsy by a forensic pathologist, showed that thermal burns and smoke inhalation were the cause of death.
