PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers got positive news on two starting offensive linemen on Friday. Center Zach Frazier and guard Isaac Seumalo both seem on track to play on Sunday.
Frazier played through a calf strain last week and he says that a week after that, his calf feels much better as he powered through the week.
“It definitely feels a lot better a week after the fact,” Frazier said. “I feel good.”
Frazier also indicated that Seumalo returned from his pectoral injury on Friday, which sets up his potential inclusion on Sunday against the Colts. If that were to happen, it would allow the team to have their jumbo package in full.
Seumalo suffered a pec strain last year before the season started, forcing him to miss three games.
Without him in there, it was Spencer Anderson starting in his place. Anderson has been the team’s jumbo tight end over the last few games to great success. It has been their identity, and the Steelers have leaned into it. Yet, without him out there, the Steelers scrapped the jumbo package, instead moving into their base offense for the rest of the game.
Either way, it seems like the Steelers will have both Seumalo and Frazier more than likely for Sunday’s game, a critical boost to the offense that will need to put up a lot of points to compete with a high-flying Colts team.
