UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa.- A pet food maker is growing its operations in Lehigh County.
Spot and Tango has announced an expansion of its manufacturing plant at 7520 Morris Court in Upper Macungie Township.
The facility is growing from 70,000 to 90,000 square feet and doubling production capacity for its UnKibble line, a shelf-stable dog food.

The expansion will create about 50 new jobs, all filled locally, across production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and warehouse operations, Spot and Tango said in a news release. About 100 people currently work at the plant.

The expansion represents a more than $20 million investment, the company said. The new space will be fully operational by July.
Spot and Tango was founded in New York in 2018 and opened its Upper Macungie factory in October 2022. The company makes fresh, all-natural pet food that’s sold direct to the consumer.
“We’ve learned so much about ourselves, the community, and what it means to build something,” CEO Russell Breuer said, during a ribbon cutting ceremony that was held for the facility in 2022. “The meals are personalized to your dog’s needs, to their dietary needs, and we offer it in a variety of formations.”
He also said the company chose to set up shop in the Lehigh Valley following a search that included 54 prospective locations throughout the Northeast.
According to Spot and Tango, the driver for the expansion is demand for UnKibble, which it calls one of the fastest-growing products in the direct-to-consumer pet food category.
