Weis Markets is rolling out AI-powered shopping carts at select Pennsylvania locations through a partnership with Instacart. Instacart said the “Caper Carts” are equipped with basket-facing camera sensors, weights-and-measures-certified scales, location-tracking systems, and a touchscreen. Weis customers will be able to track their spending in real time as they shop and access exclusive coupons and digital-based deals.
