A local college campus is once again providing a way to keep kids engaged and learning over summer break.

Penn State Behrend’s College for Kids program offers over 100 classes for kids aged 6 to 14.

Melanie Ford, director of youth education outreach at Penn State Behrend, explained how the program engages young learners in science, technology, art and much more.

“They’re all designed to engage your child in something, right. But what we like to do is we like to make it fun and entertaining and it’s all hand-on, but we make sure there’s an educational component in there as well,” Ford said.

Registration runs until June 8 for earlier classes and June 29 for classes held later in the summer.
