Additional details emerged after Olyphant-based Titan Tree Service shared a statement on social media describing how one of its crews responded immediately after witnessing the crash.
According to the company, crew members were traveling back to headquarters when they encountered the overturned police cruiser with the officer and K-9 trapped inside.
The workers reportedly stopped and assisted at the scene, opening the vehicle’s door, checking on the officer and K-9, and helping secure the area while waiting for emergency responders to arrive.
“Officer and pup were very fortunate to have escaped unscathed,” the company wrote in a social media post praising its employees’ actions.
