OLD FORGE — Babaette Rillstone transformed a former hair salon into an ice cream shop.
She plans to hold a grand opening for Scoops Here It Is, 731 S. Main St., on Saturday from noon to 8:30 p.m.
Along with more than 30 flavors of hard ice cream, the shop also features frozen yogurt, sherbet, Italian ice, specialty sundaes, shakes, soda floats, flurries, ice cream pops and more than 20 toppings.
Rillstone noted that her daughter, Kara Rillstone, has been the “secret ingredient” to launching the business.
“Kara’s love for sweet treats and background experience in ice cream made it possible,” she said.
