The driver of a silver sedan with tinted windows and bearing a paper registration tag fled across the Schuylkill County line at a high speed Tuesday night on Route 183 after a trooper tried to conduct a traffic stop near Strausstown, state police said.
The trooper tried to stop the car for speeding in Upper Tulpehocken Township. The driver ignored the emergency lights and siren and continued at a high speed on Route 183 into southern Schuylkill.
The trooper lost sight of the car, which appeared to be an Audi, in Wayne Township, near Schuylkill Haven.
