The “spectacular fireworks show” originally planned for Saturday at the Lackawanna County Heritage Fair was rescheduled to Sunday night at 9 p.m., organizers announced.
Sunday hours for the last day of the four-day fair, which was originally scheduled to end at 8 p.m., have also been extended. Admission to the fairgrounds at Montage Mountain Resorts in Scranton will be free after 8 p.m. for those wishing to view the fireworks, Lackawanna County Fair and Recreation Authority Chairman Armand Olivetti said.
Tickets are otherwise $15. A fair ticket includes access to the resort’s popular waterpark.
The fireworks show now planned for Sunday night will celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary this year.
