READING, Pa.- Authorities say they executed three search warrants at two addresses in Reading and one in Shillington last Thursday, landing two high level drug dealers behind bars.
“Both individuals were well known as being involved in the drug trade in not only Schuylkill but also Berks County,” says Berks County District Attorney, John Adams.
At the three location authorities say they found and confiscated large amounts of drugs including heroin, cocaine, meth, and fentanyl as well as nine pistols, two shotguns and thousands of dollars in cash.
Keith Culbert and Eddie Feliciano were arrested. DA Adams credits a lot of investment into the investigation as the reason they were able to make the arrests. “To establish probable cause in a case like this takes a lot of hard work, surveillance, maybe some undercover drug buys,” says Adams.
The District attorney tells WFMZ that same day Severo Rondon-Herrera was also arrested in a separate drug investigation in Reading after police say he accepted a package containing two kilos of cocaine through the postal service.
“Clearly this individual had a direct connect to receiving these parcels,” says Adams. “Generally, the parcels will come from either the Dominican Republic or Puerto Rico.”
Adams says getting these suppliers off the streets helps make the community safer.
“Two very good hits and I think the type of arrests that not only can send a message but also the type of arrests that can put a dent into the drug trade within our county,” says Adams.
