ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are sharing their support for Xavier Taylor, a 12-year-old baseball player from South Jersey that was injured during a warmup nearly two weeks ago.
Taylor, a player for the Maple Shade Youth Baseball Association, was critically injured on Tuesday, May 26, after being struck in the neck by a ball, according to WPVI.
The IronPigs posted a video on Facebook Monday from the team to share their thoughts with Xavier and the Taylor family.
Xavier remains hospitalized on a ventilator, and his father says there are signs of progress.
Xavier is no longer on blood pressure medication, his vital signs are stable, and he is receiving nutritional care.
