The Erie Playhouse welcomed families to its annual Youtheatre summer kickoff on Sunday, offering a free afternoon of entertainment and activities.
Guests enjoyed performances from Playtime, Showstoppers and Erie Playhouse productions, as well as took part in crafts, won raffle prizes and enjoyed games and family-friendly activities.

Organizers said the event gave families a chance to connect with the theater and learn more about youth programming.
“Youtheatre is something really special for all of the kids who are involved and the families who are involved, so we know this is an exciting time for them, they’re ending school, going into the summertime, so we like to just kind of give a big celebration and thank you to our community,” said Nicole Lossie, marketing manager for the Erie Playhouse.
The Erie Playhouse will be offering two summer camps throughout the month of July.
