An investigation is underway after police said a man was shot in the face inside a home in West Philadelphia.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department, around 1:24 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, officers responded to a home on the 6000 block of Race Street after receiving a report about a shooting.
When officers got to the scene, police said they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition.
Police said another man was taken into custody at the scene in connection with this shooting, and a weapon was also recovered.
SkyForce10 was over the scene and several officers could be seen outside the home.
