An Exeter man has been charged with multiple felony sex offenses involving a child, according to the Wyoming Area Regional Police Department.
Police said Kristopher Powell was taken into custody Wednesday on a felony warrant and charged with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a child younger than 13, and corruption of minors.
The alleged offenses occurred in the Birchwood Estates area of Exeter, police said.
Powell was arraigned Wednesday before Magisterial District Judge Matthew Carmody, who denied bail.
He was committed to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility pending further court proceedings.
Wyoming Area Regional Police have not released additional details regarding the investigation.
