A local cancer care provider received a significant donation June 11, aimed at supporting patients and treatment services in the Erie community.
Allegheny Health Network’s Cancer Institute was presented with a $35,000 donation from the charitable organization A Glimmer of Hope during a ceremony held at the institute’s facility on West 26th Street and Myrtle Street in Erie.
The contribution will help support cancer care programs and services offered through AHN, providing resources for patients and families facing cancer diagnoses and treatment.
Representatives from both organizations gathered for the check presentation, highlighting the continued partnership between the nonprofit and local healthcare providers in the fight against cancer.
A Glimmer of Hope is known for raising funds to support breast cancer awareness, research, treatment, and patient assistance programs throughout western Pennsylvania and beyond.
