An investigation is underway, police said, after a man was killed in a shooting that happened in the morning hours of Thursday in Philly’s Cedarbrook section.
According to police, the incident happened at about 9:42 a.m. along the 8200 block of Forrest Avenue.
Officers responding to a reported shooting found a man in the street after the shooting and took him to a nearby hospital where, officials said, he was pronounced at about 9:42 a.m.
No arrests were immediatly made and, officials said, no weapon was recovered.
Also, police did not immediately provide further information on the victim, nor did they discuss how the incident occurred or detail any suspects in this case.
But, officials said, an investigation is currently underway.
