Construction on the Flagship City Commons in downtown Erie is really taking shape. A large construction crane and all the steel work is underway right in the middle of North Park Row.
The Commons will connect Perry Square, the Flagship City Food Hall, Country Fair, and the 5th Street parking garage.
The Erie Downtown Development Corporation says when completed, the Commons will create a walkable, welcoming place, adding new restaurants, retail, upstairs offices, and a rooftop event space. EDDC CEO Drew Whiting tells us at Erie News Now tenants are being secured, and the building is expected to open one year from now.
