Deborah ‘Debbie’ Lou Walsh
OBITUARY
Deborah Debbie Lou Walsh, 73, of Olyphant (originally North Scranton), died unexpectedly at home on June 3, 2026. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Betty (Dickinson) Walsh. She graduated from Scranton Tech and worked at Woolworth’s for many years.
She was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary and lifetime member of VFW Post 25.
She is survived by her husband Richard Walsh, and their two daughters: Erin Walsh, Scranton; Colleen Walsh Orzel and her husband Tony, Dunmore; two grandchildren who she loved dearly, Riley and Cain Orzel; her brother, Eugene Walsh; several nieces and nephews; and her cherished canine companion, Finn. Debbie was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Walsh, and it is our hope that they are reunited once again.
Family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 2:00pm at the Pavilion at VFW Post 25, 2291 Rockwell St., Scranton. All are welcome.
