EMTA celebrates 14th Fest, 60 years of service

It was a chance to celebrate on 14th Street Thursday evening.

The Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority invited the public to drop by its headquarters for 14th Fest; a celebration with live music, food and fun as a way to give back to the city.

While the weather tamped down the crowd early, an enthusiastic group showed up to enjoy the set up.

There were food trucks and breweries on hand for adults as well as a children’s activity area and a bus from the fleet to check out.

“This is the first event that happens downtown Erie, and it’s really the only event that happens on 14th Street, so we’re in the mid-city corridor with our friends here,” said Sarah Morrison, director of marketing and public relations for EMTA.

This year is also the 60th anniversary for the EMTA.
