The Pennsylvania State Police investigate a fatal camper fire at Roamers Retreat Campground in Lancaster County that killed a 15-year-old girl.

LANCASTER, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a fatal camper fire early Saturday at Roamers Retreat Campground in Lancaster County.

Troopers from the Lancaster station were notified around 4 a.m. of a fire at the campground, located at 5005 Lincoln Highway in Salisbury Township on Nov. 1. Initial reports indicated a camper was fully engulfed with possible occupants trapped inside.

Multiple local fire companies responded and extinguished the fire. A 15-year-old girl was found dead inside the camper, police said.

Troop J fire marshals are investigating the cause and origin of the blaze according to Tpr. James Grothey. Further information will be released as details of the investigation become available.Â
