THIS FIRE STARTED AROUND 320 TODAY ON SOUTH FOURTH STREET NEAR AVENUE I. WE GOT A CHANCE TO SPEAK WITH A NEIGHBOR WHO SAYS HE’S THE ONE WHO CALLED IT IN. AND WHILE HE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH 911, HE HEARD MULTIPLE POPS. ANOTHER NEIGHBOR SAYS HE BELIEVES AT LEAST FOUR HOUSES ARE NOW INVOLVED IN THIS FIRE. WHAT YOU’RE SEEING ON YOUR SCREEN RIGHT NOW IS THAT SCENE FROM JUST A FEW MOMENTS AGO. SINCE THEN, WE’VE SEEN FIRE CREWS FROM THROUGHOUT LANCASTER AND YORK COUNTIES WORKING TO PUT OUT THESE FLAMES. Crews are responding to a house fire in Columbia Borough. The fire started around 3:20 p.m. in the first block of South 4th Street. Police say all of the residents of the home were evacuated safely but multiple people are displaced. The Columbia Borough Police Department is asking the public to stay away from the area while crews continue to fight the fire. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal. WGAL News 8 has a crew on the scene.

Crews are responding to a house fire in Columbia Borough.
The fire started around 3:20 p.m. in the first block of South 4th Street.
Police say all of the residents of the home were evacuated safely but multiple people are displaced.
