Book lovers lined up early on Sunday morning as the annual Great American Book Sale got underway, kicking off a week-long event benefiting the Erie County Public Library.
The popular sale runs from Sunday through Friday and features thousands of donated items that volunteers have collected throughout the year.
Shoppers could browse a wide variety of materials, including hardcover and paperback books, children’s books, DVDs, CDs, vinyl records, and puzzles. Organizers said there is something for readers and collectors of all ages and interests.
Different specials and discounts will be offered throughout the week, giving visitors multiple opportunities to find great deals.
Proceeds from the sale support the Erie County Public Library and help fund library programs, services, and resources for the community.
The Great American Book Sale is being held at the Flo Fabrizio Ice Center. Hours on Monday through Thursday are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., while Friday’s final day will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
