MUHLENBERG TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A community comes together days after a devastating apartment fire in Berks County.
Adler Brewing is right across the street from the Oak Forest Apartments.
The owners said they stood outside for hours watching the fire on Thursday night and were left wondering what they could do to help the nearly 50 people who lost their homes.
They came up with the idea to organize a donation drive with other businesses and representatives in the area.
“We didn’t know what this was gonna be like today…it was huge,” said Mike Oppman, owner of Adler Brewing.
Everything donated Sunday will be given out to victims of the fire Monday.
