Crash near Hilltown Walmart sends one to hospital, causes heavy traffic backups along Bethlehem Pike

Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a silver four-door Nissan on Bethlehem Pike, directly in front of the Walmart entrance located at 1515 Bethlehem Pike.

The crash happened around 2:16 p.m. Saturday The Nissan sustained heavy front-end damage, and the motorcycle was found laying on its side in front of the car, with debris scattered across the roadway.

At least one person has been transported to a local hospital.

Bethlehem Pike northbound has been reduced to one lane, and traffic is backed up at least one mile in each direction.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area and expect major delays as crews clear the scene and investigate the crash.

Hilltown Township Police and Hilltown Fire Company are still on-site. Emergency crews from VMSCS and Grandview responded to the scene.
