WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. – A 67-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Washington Township, Lehigh County Monday night.
The man, who was from Slatington (Washington Township), was pronounced dead shortly before midnight at the scene near the 3000 block of Welshtown Road, Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said in a news release.
Buglio said the cause of death is multiple blunt force injuries due to the crash, and the manner of death was ruled an accident.
The man was driving a motorcycle that lost control, left the roadway, and crashed, Buglio said.
Buglio said the man has been positively identified. While some family members have been notified, additional next-of kin notifications remain ongoing, according to the news release.
The man’s identity will be withheld at this time pending the completion of the notifications, Buglio said.
The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating.
