READING, Pa. – Officials say things are coming together beautifully in Reading as an official FIFA fan zone.
“For four days in July downtown Reading will be transformed into a destination for fans across the region,” says Reading mayor, Eddie Moran.
Inside the arena, fans will be able to watch World Cup matches on big screens alongside other fans, there will even be broadcasts in Spanish.
“Outside of Penn Street, we will bring the celebration into the heart of downtown with a world cup block party featuring live music, food vendors and family friendly activities that will create a true festival atmosphere,” says Moran.
Some of the bands announced include Go Go Gadjet, Main Squeeze, and Ax and the Hatchetmen.
There will also be three on three soccer tournaments and lots of activities for families and children.
Organizers say the tournament is bringing people together to experience something distinct and different and share real connection.

“What an incredible opportunity this is for Berks County and for the community to come together,” says Meg Kane, CEO of Philadelphia Soccer 2026. “[And] that what we have experienced in the first five days in Philadelphia, I hope bodes incredibly well for what Reading will experience during its days of hosting here.”
Tourism officials say it will be an opportunity to experience activities surrounding the tournament but also in other areas of the city and county.

More entertainment and programming will be announced as we get closer to July.
Parties will be on July 3rd, 4th, 18th and 19th.
