Erie father accused of stabbing his son Sunday

A father is behind bars Monday night after allegedly stabbing his son in the stomach.

James Dunn, 59, was arrested and facing several charges, including aggravated assault.

The incident took place Sunday evening, just before 9 pm, when City of Erie police were called to the 1200 block of East 7th Street for a stabbing.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim, who stated that Dunn had stabbed him inside the house after an argument.

According to the police chief, Dunn was later found at a nearby gas station with a knife, box cutter and multiple baggies, likely containing meth.

The victim is currently stable at the hospital.
