Hold on to your witch hats, it’s going to be a windy Halloween in the Lehigh Valley.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the region from 10 a.m. through midnight Friday. Winds of 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph, are expected, according to the weather service.
The advisory is in effect across all of eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
High wind gusts could down tree limbs and power lines, resulting in a few outages, the weather service warns. Unsecured objects, including some Halloween decorations, could be blown around as well.
Driving high profile vehicles in high winds could become difficult, the weather service cautions.
The wind advisory comes as children across most of the Lehigh Valley head out for trick-or-treating Friday night. It follows a soggy Thursday that brought some much-needed rain to the region after weeks of mostly dry conditions. Anywhere between 1 and 3 inches of rain fell across most of the region, according to the weather service.
After the winds calm down by midnight, a pleasant weekend will follow. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a high temperature around 60, according to the weather service forecast. The next chance for rain will be Monday night.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
