Third Thursday at the Philadelphia Navy Yard
The Philadelphia Navy Yard is continuing its new monthly series this weekend with the return of Third Thursdays at Chapel Plaza. Presented by PIDC in partnership with Ensemble, the dog-friendly event series will take place on the third Thursday of each month from 4 to 7 p.m. until October, and turn the outdoor plaza into a lively neighborhood gathering space.
Each Third Thursday will feature an open-air festival atmosphere with rotating food trucks, local vendors, live entertainment and lawn games. The June 18 event will feature food from Beck’s Cajun Café, Put A Egg, and Poundcake Heaven. Guests can also shop from a variety of local makers and small businesses, enjoy live music by Tipsy Wicked, and take part in outdoor games including cornhole, Giant Jenga, and Connect 4.

Fishtown Beer Festival
This Saturday (June 20), Evil Genius Beer Company and Fishtown District will host the Second Annual Fishtown Beer Festival on the 1700 block of Front Street. The event will bring together more than 20 local and regional breweries with 40-plus craft selections spanning award-winning IPAs, rare releases, lagers, pilsners, sours, and other specialty pours.
The lineup features vendors from 21st Amendment, Attic Brewing, Cartesian Brewing, Love City, Philadelphia Brewing, Punch Buggy, Space Cadet, Source Brewing and more. Beyond the beer, attendees can enjoy live DJ entertainment, outdoor street food, and a festival-style menu from the Evil Genius kitchen. General admission tickets are $45 and include unlimited sampling and a commemorative tasting glass, while designated driver tickets are available for $10. The event is strictly 21+.

Under the Stars Film Festival
Philly’s own arthouse cinema, cinéSPEAK, is closing out its annual Under the Stars Film Festival. The four-week event used the great outdoors (Clark Park) as its setting, and on top of the screenings, each iteration also featured local artists, vendors, and grassroots organizations to create a unique pop-up festival experience. This Friday (June 19) marks the final night in the series, with live music at 7 p.m., followed by the film program at 9 p.m. The main goal is to feature award-winning independent films from around the world while continuing to cultivate experiences and opportunities for filmmakers and moviegoers.
The closing chapter’s showings will include ‘TCB: The Toni Cade Bambara School of Organizing’ followed by the World Premiere of ‘#FreeBlackMamas: Hear Her Voice.’ ‘TCB’ is a biography of the influential writer, filmmaker and cultural worker, while ‘#FreeBlackMamas’ features stories from women bailed out of jail by the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund.
FCM Hospitality’s Cocktails for a Cause
FCM Hospitality is marking Pride Month with its annual “Cocktails for a Cause” program, running through June 30 at 18 locations across Philadelphia. The initiative features rainbow-inspired cocktails representing the colors of the Pride flag, each priced at $12, with $1 from every drink benefiting the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund.
The full lineup of Pride cocktails includes: Red — Berry Sangria (at Liberty Point and Morgan’s Pier); Orange — Mango Margarita (Craft Hall); Yellow — Peach Sangria (Juno); Green — Ecto Cooler (Concourse Dance Bar); Blue — Out to Sea (The Dolphin Tavern); Purple — Liquid Persuasion (Harper’s Garden); White — Rocket Pop (Liberty Beer Garden); Pink — Hibiscus Lemonade (Walnut Garden and Parks on Tap stops); Teal — Elderflower Gimlet (Lola’s Garden); Brown — Espresso Martini (Lucy’s); and Black — Margarita Negra (Rosy’s Taco Bar, Rosy’s East, and Club 624).
LUMINISCENCE
‘LUMINISCENCE’ is here in Philly and has brought with it “a fusion of light, music, and storytelling.” Created by LOTCHI, the production regularly transforms historic sacred spaces around the world into multimedia environments through digital artistry and original musical compositions. During this milestone America 250 celebration, ‘LUMINISCENCE’ has created “a living dialogue between past and present.” Through light and music, audiences are taken on a journey through the story of a community shaped by immigration, devotion, resilience, and hope.
The Philadelphia event is open now at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. Performances will run on select weekdays and weekends, offering options like Luminiscence Live Plus (featuring a live choir and orchestra), Luminiscence Live (with a live choir only), or Luminiscence (featuring recorded music and a voiceover). Ticket prices (starting at $35) vary depending on the type of experience, and discounts are available.
