A Bethlehem Township man has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife.

James Christopher Frank, 58, previously pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the 2025 stabbing death of his wife, Deborah Glaser, according to the Northampton County District Attorney’s office.

Around 8 a.m. on March 11, 2025, Bethlehem Township police were dispatched to the couple’s house on the 2100 block of Third Street for a welfare check after a family member reported concerns about the residents. Police arrived and made their presence known, but after receiving no response, they attempted to use a ladder to enter the house through a window on the second floor.

At the window, officers made contact with Frank, who then unlocked the front door. He led the police into the bedroom and stated, “My wife is dead in the bathtub.” Frank was detained and police found Glaser dead in the bathtub with multiple stab wounds in her chest. Various weapons were also inside the bathroom.

The news release states that Frank admitted to police at the scene that he murdered his wife and explained how he did it. He pleaded guilty on June 10.
