An early morning crash sent two people to the hospital in Green Tree, Allegheny County, on Wednesday. The Green Tree Volunteer Fire Company said just before 1:30 a.m., crews were called to the area of McMonagle Avenue and Greentree Road for a reported crash. While crews were on their way to the scene, they received information that a man was lying on the ground away from his vehicle. Due to the severity of the reported incident and conflicting information, the East Carnegie VFD was added to the response. When officials arrived at the scene, they said two people were found with injuries. One of the individuals was said to be in critical condition. Green Tree VFC said both people were taken to the hospital. As of Wednesday evening, no updates on their conditions have been announced. Due to the serious nature of the crash, the SHACOG Crash Reconstruction Team was requested.
