Glassport resident Eric Buczynski spoke to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 while on the scene, who said he first noticed the smoke from outside his window. “I just happened to be looking out my window, cause I know the kids were having a kickball tournament, and I saw smoke over there, and I’m thinking ‘that’s a little unusual.’ I saw that it caught other people’s attention as well, so I called 911 and got the information, and that was it. I then slowly noticed more and more fire trucks showed up,” Buczynski said. No injuries were reported. The Vigilant Hose Company #1 of Port Vue, Station 237, said in a post on Facebook that residents should avoid the following areas: Monongahela Avenue and 9th Street; and Ohio Avenue and Wall Street. Allegheny County dispatchers confirmed to Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that crews were on the scene along 100 9th Street before 8 p.m. following reports of a fire.
