The Lake City Police Department is continuing to collect evidence in their investigation into the actions of an Erie County sheriff’s deputy who shot and killed a dog at a borough residence June 12.
The shooting happened at a residence in the 10000 block of Smith Street in Lake City. The deputy, whose name was not released, was serving a civil process at the time, Erie County Sheriff Chris Campanelli said June 17.
