A pleasant change is on the way.
Friday morning we do have some clouds around coming from an area of low pressure passing to our south. It’s spreading some light showers into parts of central and southern Delaware and South Jersey closer to the shore, with a possibility of more showers through this morning. They’ll be scattered and light, then moving out this afternoon.
The rest of us will be dry all day with morning clouds breaking for a nice afternoon sunshine. Breezy day, though nowhere near as windy as yesterday. That’s a refreshing breeze bringing in more dry air. Humidity is already lower this morning than yesterday and it’ll get even drier this afternoon.
That sets the stage for a perfect June weekend. Saturday, our last day of spring, a high of 85° and still on the breezy side, but that’s more dry air keeping the humidity very low.
Sunday, the wind dies down.
The summer solstice happens at 4:25 a.m. Sunday morning, so our first day of summer and Father’s Day is going to be a beauty. Humidity stays low with a high of 87°.
We need more rainfall, and we are going to get it. The next storm system comes through Monday with potentially soaking rain and thunderstorms as well.
