Nathan Trolio struck out nine in five innings, allowed just two hits and added hit at the plate, as Moosic shut out North Pocono, 7-0, on Sunday in a District 17 9-10-11 all-star baseball game at Abington Little League.
Mitchell Link, Luke Brennan, Grayson Lindsay and Kai Hermanson each had a hit for Moosic, with Hermanson’s being a double. Brennan, Hermanson and Beau Canfield each had an RBI.
Declan Rogan and Everett Lenzer each had a hit for North Pocono, and pitcher Joseph Tomcykoski struck out seven in three innings.
Dunmore 11, Abington 8: At Abington Little League, Andrew Kokindo had three hits, including a triple, and three RBIs to lead Dunmore.
Matteo Yeager had two hits and a run, Miles O’Malley had two hits and three runs and James Hart had a hit, two RBIs and two runs for the winners.
Jake McCormick had two hits, including a double, an RBI and two runs, and David Kalechitz had a triple, two RBIs and a run for Abington.
