Two inmates died by suicide recently in Northampton County Prison, authorities said.

Randolph  Adams, 35, of Bethlehem, was pronounced dead Friday at St. Luke’s Hospital in Easton, according to Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek. Adams’ cause of death was asphyxiation, with the manner suicide, he said.

Adams was in prison on charges of vehicle robbery out of Palmer Township, court records state. That incident happened June 3.

Katelyn Godiska, 34, also of Bethlehem, was pronounced dead at that same hospital days earlier on June 14, the coroner said. Her cause of death was asphyxiation, with the manner suicide, according to a news release from Lysek.

Godiska was in prison on charges of aggravated assault out of Bethlehem, according to court records. The incident in which she was charged happened June 11, those records state.

These deaths happened days before one in Lehigh County Jail. Kevin Esterly, of Whitehall Township, died by suicide Monday at the jail. He was awaiting sentencing for sexually assaulting a girl.
