CATASAUQUA, Pa. – An Allentown man charged in a 2025 homicide in Catasauqua will face charges in Lehigh County Court of Common Pleas after a preliminary hearing Tuesday.
Police say Samuel Rolando Colon, 24, is charged with Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault and several counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
All charges were held for court Tuesday in a preliminary hearing, according to a news release from District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan. Colon remains in Lehigh County Jail without bail.
The D.A.’s office says the next hearing is Colon’s formal arraignment on July 2 at 9:00 a.m.
Colon is charged with the Nov. 8, 2025 killing of Ti’Shaun Singleton at a home at 250 Edward Lane in Catasauqua.
Police say at 4:37 p.m., Catasauqua Police and EMS were called to the Edward Lane home for a report of a shooting.
Upon arriving at the scene, first responders found Singleton dead. Officers say Singleton, 19, of Allentown, died from a gunshot wound to the chest and his death was ruled a homicide by the Lehigh County Coroner.
Investigators say they reviewed nearby video surveillance that showed two people inside the Edward Street home dragging the victim outside and several people running from the home. One person later carried the victim back inside.
Witnesses whose names will not be released said the victim and Colon were playing a game they named “quick draw” and both were armed with guns. Police say as the men were playing the game, Colon shot and killed the victim.
A child, as well as several other people, were also inside the home when the killing occurred, according to court documents.
Authorities say Colon surrendered to police in April 2026.
The case is being investigated by Lehigh County Homicide Task Force Detective Amaury Almonte and Catasauqua Police Detective Christopher Wittik and is being prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Michael T. Edward
