Wednesday, June 24, marks Day 6 of the Wawa Welcome America celebrations.
Wednesday’s events include the Five Points Night Market. Free admission to American Philosophical Society Museum, Woodmere Art Museum, The Fabric Workshop and Museum is available. The Philadelphia Film Society will also be offering free film screenings.

Free Museum Days: American Philosophical Society Museum

About: The American Philosophical Society Museum is the oldest learned society in the United States, founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1743. The museum has rotating exhibitions each year, with this year’s exhibition being, “These Truths: The Declaration of Independence.”

About: The Fabric Workshop and Museum is an internationally acclaimed contemporary art museum with an Artist-in-Residence Program, founded in 1977 by Marion “Kippy” Boulton Stroud. Currently on view is “Jesse Krimes: Elegy Quilts,” an exhibition presented in Partnership with Mural Arts Philadelphia, and “Some American Dreams,” a collection of works exploring the complexity of American-ness.
Free Movie Days

About: The Philadelphia Film Society is offering two-weeks of free movie screenings by and about Philadelphia. All films will be showing at the Main Screen at the Center.
Five Points Night Market

About: Five Points Night Market is an energetic celebration of food, music and community. At the market, you can find diverse local food trucks, community vendors, and local resources all to the backdrop of live performances. There are activities for families and guests of all ages.
