An Allentown man accused of killing a man during a game of “quick draw” last year in Catasauqua faces trial in county court.
A Lehigh County district judge on Tuesday determined after Samuel Rolando Colon’s preliminary hearing that there was enough evidence for him to face trial in the Nov. 8 homicide of Ti’Shaun Singleton, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan said in a news release.
Colon, 25, is charged with homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person in the shooting that happened that afternon in a home in the 200 block of Edward Lane.
Police said Colon and Singleton, 19, were playing a game they called “quick draw” in the home, and both men were armed. While they were playing the game, Colon shot and killed Singleton, authorities said. First responders found Singleton dead with a gunshot wound to the chest.
A child and several other people were in the home during the incident, according to the DA’s office.
Colon surrendered to police in April. He remains in Lehigh County Jail without bail.
