A Bensalem man is accused of throwing paperwork and threatening staff inside the local office of a state representative.
Bensalem police allege that Donald Ambrose, 65, entered the office of state Rep. K.C. Tomlinson, R-Bucks, in the 2400 block of Bristol Road on June 9 where he became disorderly, according to a police press release.
Ambrose allegedly removed paperwork from desks and threw it around before retrieving a gas can from the trunk of his vehicle. Office employees feared that he would set the building on fire, the release said.
Police have charged a Bensalem man with creating a disturbance at the office of a state Rep. K.C. Tomlinson, R-Bucks.
Ambrose left the area before police arrived, but he was later located and taken into custody. Police didn’t say if Tomlinson was in the office when the incident occurred.
He was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Falcone on misdemeanor charges including two counts of terroristic threats and two counts of disorderly conduct. He was transferred to Bucks County Correctional Center in lieu of $200,000 bail.
Bensalem police didn’t release additional information about the incident, and the probable cause affidavit for the case wasn’t immediately available Friday evening.
Ambrose had no legal representative listed as of June 12, according to the public court log.
