An Erie man has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison following a conviction related to the possession of illegal materials involving a minor.
Dana Lindstrom, 44, a former resident of Erie, was sentenced to 10 years of incarceration, followed by 10 years of supervised release, according to an announcement from United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.
The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Susan Paradise Baxter in federal court.
Court records show that in August 2019, investigators discovered videos on Lindstrom’s phone depicting a minor engaged in explicit conduct. These findings formed the basis of the federal charges and conviction.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Christian A. Trabold.
Federal officials credited the collaborative investigative efforts of multiple agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Erie Police Department, and the Erie County Detectives Bureau, for bringing the case to prosecution.
