The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has released its planned maintenance schedule for Erie County for the week of June 29. The work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and improve more than 3,600 miles of roadway across District 1, which includes Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren counties.
All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PennDOT crews will carry out a variety of maintenance operations across multiple municipalities in Erie County, including:
Manual Patching
Millcreek, Waterford, and Summit townships along Route 19
Springfield, Girard, and Fairview townships along Route 20
Union City Borough (High Street – State Route 2008)
Wayne Township (Washington Street – State Route 2020 and Route 6 – State Route 0006)
Ditching Work
Venango Township (Route 474 – State Route 0474)
Springfield and Girard townships (Route 5 – State Route 0005)
Springfield Township (Old Lake Road – State Route 3009)
Amity Township (Route 89 – State Route 0089)
Concord Township (Lindsey Hollow Road – State Route 2029)

Fill dirt generated from maintenance projects may be made available to nearby property owners. Interested individuals must have accessible property near work zones and submit a completed M-666 form to qualify.
