Pennsylvania American Water announced Thursday a section of the walking path around the Lake Scranton reservoir will temporarily close to pedestrian traffic.
The closure beings Friday and is expected to last until Aug. 21.
The walking path will be closed from the area where the path meets the roadway at the small stone bridge to the dam near the fishing pier.
The closure is a safety precaution due to a high volume of traffic on the roadway. Pedestrians are reminded not to walk around closed gates or fencing to access the closed portions of the path.
