New traffic patterns to begin in City of Erie
Several intersections in the City of Erie will have different traffic patterns beginning on Wednesday, June 24, in an effort to improve safety.
New stop signs will be installed at intersections of McCarter and Pennsylvania avenues, Atkins Street and Birch Court, as well as East 39th and Fruit streets.
Proposed ‘Brews to Barns Act’ would incentivize farm and brewery partnerships
The traffic light at West 10th and Cascade Street will be removed.
Lastly, the all-way stop at the corner of West 6th Street and Maryland Avenue will return to a two-way stop on Maryland — This intersection temporarily became a four-way stop due to the closure of the Kahkwa Bridge.
According to city government, when the bridge reopened, it was re-evaluated and does not meet the criteria to remain a four-way stop.
