The St. Joesph Catholic school serves 200 families from Pre-K through 6th grade in south central Pennsylvania. They proudly state “The combination of faith and academics is key to our school. We are joyfully Catholic at St. Joseph School.”
Saint Joseph was the Jewish husband of Mary the mother of Jesus. Saint Joseph is described by the Catholic Church as the “Patron: of the Universal Church, unborn children, fathers, workers, travelers, immigrants, and a happy death.”
The school sponsored a float in the Hanover which included a replica of the Auschwitz Gate to the death camp in Nazi Germany which held at least 1.3 million inmates and killed 1.1 million people.
The Halloween Parade is available on you tube. Their float can be seen at the 1 hour and 38 minute mark of the two hour video.
On October 30, 2025 in Hanover Pennsylvania a replica of a Nazi Death Camp gate was driven though the streets while candy was tossed to children.
The designer of the float issued an apology and Bishop Timothy C. Senior of the Diocese of Harrisburg released a statement he was “Shocked and Appalled” the Friday after the parade.
I know of no link between this and the arson attack on Governor Shapiro’s mansion in April.

Nor is it related to the widely condemned KKK recruitment literature distributed in nearby Mechanicsburg at their October 14th Halloween Parade.
Hanover believes they are well beyond the 1991 race riots.

In 2025 while the President sends HSI, BP, and National Guard troops to American Cities, a Nazi Death Camp Gate parades through Pennsylvania town.
