Competitors from around the world competed in the strongman competition, raising money for Taylor Fire and Rescue.
TAYLOR, Pa. — Taylor Fire and Rescue hosted its second “Firehouse Fury” this Saturday at the Taylor Community Center in Lackawanna County.
The strongman-type competition welcomed competitors from all around the nation, all for a chance at being named the strongest man or woman.
Newswatch 16 caught up with Danny Lottes from Gettysburg, who had just completed deadlifting 200 pounds 45 times in just one minute.
“I was seeing stars. I was ready to pass out,” said Lottes.
In addition to raising awareness of volunteer fire departments, money raised from the competition will go towards Taylor Fire and Rescue.
