Parking restricted Wednesday, Thursday in Wilkes-Barre for street cleaning

WILKES-BARRE — Parking restrictions will be in place on certain city streets Wednesday and Thursday so they can be cleaned, Mayor George C. Brown’s Office has announced.

“No parking” signs, with the street sweeping day indicated, will be posted during street cleaning in each neighborhood. Vehicles will be ticketed if not moved.

Parking will be restricted on the right side of the following streets on Wednesday and on the left side of these streets on Thursday:

East Chestnut Street, from North Pennsylvania Avenue to North Main Street.
East Elm Street, from North Main Street to Highland Drive.
Highland Drive, from East Elm Street to East Linden Street.
Sunrise Drive, from East Elm Street to East Chestnut Street.
East Linden Street, from North Pennsylvania Avenue to North Main Street.
East Maple Street, from North Main Street to North Washington Street.
East Hollenback Avenue, from North Pennsylvania Avenue to North Main Street.
Butler Street, from North Main Street to North Pennsylvania Avenue.
Beaumont Street, from North Pennsylvania Avenue to North Main Street.
East North Street, from North Main Street to North Pennsylvania Avenue.

The cleaning schedule is tentative and weather permitting.
