CUMRU TWP., Pa. – Police say a black bear was seen in Cumru Township, Berks County.
In a Facebook post, township police say it was spotted in the 300 block of Gouglersville Road.
Police said the Pennsylvania Game Commission, which was notified of the recent sighting, said it would like to be notified of any bear sightings so the organization could track its movements.
The commission will not release the bear unless it becomes a nuisance, township police said.

Never feed or approach bears
Secure food, garbage, and recycling
Remove bird feeders when bears are active
Never leave pet food outdoors
Clean and store grills
Alert neighbors to bear activity
