Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with a “bang!” With July 4th approaching, multiple Western Pennsylvania communities are already keeping you up-to-date on where you can see fireworks and celebrate. Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 has compiled a guide to help you navigate the best place to watch them light up the sky! If you don’t see your neighborhood listed here, email webstaff@wtae.com and tell us the time and location of the fireworks show in your area.ALLEGHENY COUNTY City of Pittsburgh – Festivities begin at 4 p.m. on July 4th across Downtown, Point State Park, the North Shore, and Mount Washington. Fireworks display in Downtown kicks off at 9:35 p.m.Kennywood Park – Kennywood is kicking off America’s Birthday with a fireworks display at the park. The show will light up the sky above the Racer at 9:45 p.m. on July 4th. Dormont -“Dormont Day” activities will begin at 7 p.m. on the 4th of July. Fireworks display to kick off at 9:30 p.m. Visit their website for more information. Findlay – On July 3, the Township of Findlay will be holding festivities from 5 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. Fireworks will take place at the Recreation and Sports Complex at Leopold Lake at 9:45 p.m. To learn more, click here. Mt. Lebanon – Festivities will begin on July 4th, starting at 5 p.m. The fireworks display will take place at 9:30 p.m. at the Mt. Lebanon Mark located at 900 Cedar Boulevard. Fairview and Boyce Mayview Parks – Fireworks will kick off on July 4th at Fairview Park in South Fayette Township at 9:30 p.m. Officials said if parking becomes limited, the display can also be seen from Boyce Mayview Park in Upper St. Clair. Butler County Fair – The “Gigantic Fireworks Display” will begin at the Big Butler Fair at dusk Saxonburg Celebrating America’s 250th Parade and Celebration – Friday, July 3rd at 5 p.m.FAYETTE COUNTY Fayette County’s Celebration of America’s 250 – Fireworks will be held at Connellsville City hall. Celebrations will go from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.South Union Township Municipal Golf Course – The festivities begin at 5 p.m. on July 2. There will be lawn seating and you are asked to bring your own chair. GREENE COUNTY Waynesburg Lions Club Fireworks – The Waynesburg Lions Club invites you to celebrate the 4th of July with a fun-filled day of food, cars, music, and fireworks. Bring your chair and/or blanket to the Waynesburg Lions Club Community Park on July 4th and enjoy the holiday with the community. Fireworks begin at 7 p.m.INDIANA COUNTY YMCA Star-Spangled Celebration – July 4th , the YMCA will hold a celebration at Mack Park Fairgrounds. It will cost $3 for individuals and $10 for families. The event begins at 10 p.m.WASHINGTON COUNTY Canonsburg – Festivities will begin as early as 7:30 a.m. and will end with a fireworks display at the Canon-McMillan AHN Stadium. Gates for the display will open at 7:30 p.m., with the fireworks kicking off at 9:45 p.m.Washington Wild Things at EQT Park on July 3 – All are invited to EQT Park to enjoy the sounds of local artists, Colby Wayne, Junior Guthrie, Jasperillo & Coalfire Run. The evening concludes with a performance by the Washington Symphony Orchestra and a Fireworks Spectacular! The cost is $5 per carload when purchased in advance ($10 at the gate). Enjoy our concession stands or make a reservation for a traditional family picnic!WESTMORELAND COUNTY Latrobe – Downtown Latrobe is gearing up for fireworks on July 3rd and 4th!
